  1. Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
  • Provides services within a psychosocial rehabilitation and harm reduction framework for ABI clients with or without concurrent disorders.
  1. Columbia Valley Better at Home
  • Provides non-medical home-based support for seniors such as light housekeeping, friendly check-ins, light yard work, and transportation for groceries and medical appointments.
  1. Columbia Valley Youth Network
  • Offers programs and activities to youth 12-18 years within the entire Columbia Valley.
  • Through a survey, the needs and barriers the youths experience in their own homes and the community are identified and need-based services and activities are organized accordingly.
  1. Community Counselling
  • Provides fee-for-service counselling to individuals and couples who do not fall within the mandate of other FDx programs.
  • Supporting individuals in overcoming challenges, to promote holistic health and well-being.
  1. Early Years
  • Provides referral service and increased access to services for parents and caregivers of young children under the age of six years.
  • Connects families with young children, provide child care and other relevant information, regarding child’s growth and development
  • Outreach services, include educative workshops, training, child care subsidy and RESP information as well as car seat inspection.
  1. Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
  • Provides counselling services to employees and their families of firms who have entered into EFAP agreements with Family Dynamix.
  • Offers confidential, short-term counseling services for employees who are experiencing personal problems that affect their work performances.
  1. Empowering Seniors to Thrive
  • identifying risks and signs of frailty amongst seniors above 65 years of age who are at risk of frailty, and social isolation and creating tailored interventions & self-management plans in their support.
  • Connecting seniors with need-assessed local and virtual resources enabling them to remain independent in their own houses for as long as possible.
  1. Family, Relationship, and Individual Counselling
  • Provides counselling services for issues including parenting, relationships, conflict resolution, anger management, social and communication skills, divorce and separation issues, grief, life skills development, stress management.
  1. Family Support
  • Offers support to families to build on their strengths and develop positive relationship with the family and community.
  • Empowering individual and family wellness by drawing on their individual strengths to develop healthy, caring, vibrant family units.
  1. Housekeeping and Janitorial
  • Provides routine cleaning, washing, and general housekeeping tasks in Columbia Valley Better at Home senior clients
  1. Life Skills for Youth with Special Needs
  • Provides resources and parenting support to parents who have children with special needs and have diverse abilities
  • Delivers life skills education to youth for encouraging and creating varied opportunities for them, to live a more independent and socially active lifestyle
  1. Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling, Empowerment (PEACE)
  • Provides specialized counselling and support to children and youth under the age of 19, who have witnessed or experienced abuse, threats, or violence in their home.
  1. Columbia Valley RCMP Victim Services
  • Police Based Victim Assistance
  • Provides support and information to victims of crime and other trauma.
  1. Reception
  • Greeting visitors and clients, answering phone calls and emails, maintaining appointment calendars, filing documents, and keep them well organized.
  • Performing any other clerical duties necessary to keep the office running.
  1. Resource Library
  • Lending books, journals, magazines, providing relevant information on family development, personal growth, parenting, abuse, assault, addictions, and legal issues.
  • Providing flyers and brochures on in-house and community resources, on a variety of services available for diverse age groups.
  1. Safe Seniors Strong Community
  • This is a new program launched in 2020, to support seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The program matches seniors needing help with non-medical essentials, like grocery shopping, prescription drop-off/pick-up, and friendly check-ins, with volunteers in our communities.
  1. Sexual Abuse Intervention  
  • Provides specialized services to children and youth who have been sexually abused.
  1. Violence is Preventable (VIP)
  • This is a complementary and comprehensive provincial strategy linking BC schools with PEACE (Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling, and Empowerment) Programs for children and youth.
  • It provides awareness and prevention information as presentations in grades K – 12
  1. Volunteers
  • A small pool of dedicated volunteers supports several of our programs including CVBAH, SSSC, CVYN and Victim services
  • They provide valuable support to our clients and their selfless dedication is greatly appreciated
  1. Women’s Counselling
  • Counselling for women who have been physically or sexually abused or who are survivors of childhood abuse.
  1. Women’s Outreach
  • Provides support and advocacy to women who have been abused or who are at risk of being abused.
  1. Women’s Information and Safe Homes (WISH)
  • Provide twenty-four hours on-call service to women and their children trying to flee domestic violence within their homes and arranging for them, safe, temporary accommodations, and all necessities like food, and clothing.
  • The program advocates for women in violence and looks to educate and promote equal access to legal assistance, housing, education, money, and safety.
  1. Youth Outreach
  • Intervenes with 12 to 18-year-old youth who are at high risk of unhealthy or illegal behavior, and counsels’ youth in family conflict.
