As the governing body of the organization, the objective of the Board of Directors is to formulate and to oversee the implementation of policies consistent with the purposes of the society.

The Board creates vision for the future, encourages diversity of perspectives, and provides leadership in long and short-term planning.The Board governance model that we operate with is Policy Governance®. This model is an integrated board leadership paradigm designed to empower the Board of Directors to fulfill their obligation of accountability to our organization.

CONSTITUTION

  1. To administer and support programs that enhance individual and community living.
  2. To assist parents to educate and raise children with good self-esteem, personal initiative, and minimal emotional problems by offering effective parenting courses, workshops, lectures, and by operating a resource centre.
  3. To cooperate with other organizations, whether incorporated or not, which have purposes similar in whole or in part to the purposes of the society.
  4. To receive, acquire and hold gifts, donations, legacies, and devises.
  5. To develop, own, provide and manage affordable housing for low and/or moderate-income persons.
  6. To engage in all such activities which are ancillary to the above purposes.
  7. To own and develop other Property including but not limited to residential and commercial real estate which supports affordable housing initiatives or allows the society to further its goal
